Holly Park Primary School – Catering Contract

Prior to working with Educo, Holly Park Primary School catering service was being provided as a one-size fits all group contract. The School felt the menu did not reflect the tastes of the pupils, was unpopular and deemed to be expensive with little or no customer service being provided.

Educo worked with the School to understand what the pupils would enjoy eating and worked out a detailed Catering Specification which was offered for tender through an OJEU two stage tender process.

The tender resulted in a new detailed and bespoke Catering Agreement being offered to a commercial catering company who invested money into the kitchen, developed staff training programmes and bought in a new Chef Manager to deliver delicious Silver Food for Life compliant meals each day that the pupils enjoyed.

Pupil meal uptake has increased significantly and with regular meetings between Educo, the School and the contractor new theme days and promotions run successfully based on the needs of the School’s pupils.
